Every great story has a turning point — and for Redlands Mazda, that moment came in July 2019.

After more than 20 years serving the Bayside community from our prominent site on Shore Street in Cleveland (where Oldmac Mazda had been a fixture since relocating there in 1999), we made the bold decision to close the Cleveland dealership and relocate everything to a brand-new, purpose-built facility at 184-186 Redland Bay Road, Capalaba. The move wasn't just about bigger space — it was about evolving to better serve our growing customer base from Victoria Point, Redlands Bay, and across the Redlands Coast.

We tripled our footprint to 10,200 square metres, creating a true "state-of-the-art" Mazda experience: a spacious showroom, a 20-car service workshop staffed by Mazda specialists, a welcoming customer lounge with a complimentary café, and a dedicated kids' play area so families could relax while we handled their vehicles. As Graham Oldham shared at the time, "We've put a lot of time into planning for it and it's all planned around customer satisfaction."

But relocating a dealership isn't easy. It meant saying goodbye to a familiar location that had built deep roots in the community, moving our entire team and operations, and essentially rebuilding from the ground up in a new suburb. We knew the success would depend entirely on the trust and ongoing support of our loyal local customers — the same families who'd chosen us for years in Cleveland.

Thankfully, you stepped up in a big way. The transition was seamless because of your continued faith in our team, your honest feedback, and your willingness to make the short drive to Capalaba. That support turned what could have been a risky change into one of the best decisions we've ever made. The new location on busy Redland Bay Road has opened us up to even more drivers, and the enhanced facilities have allowed us to deliver an even higher level of service — from quicker bookings and expert maintenance to that personal touch that keeps customers coming back.

Fast-forward to today, and the proof is in the awards.

In early 2025, Mazda Australia recognised us with the 2025 Mazda Master Dealer Excellence Award — our second consecutive year earning this prestigious honour! (Following our debut win in 2024, this back-to-back achievement shows that the move to Capalaba wasn't just a fresh start — it was the foundation for sustained excellence.)

This award isn't handed out lightly. For over 30 years, Mazda's Master Dealer program has rigorously evaluated dealers on customer experience, sales performance, facility standards, team development, and genuine satisfaction.
